Im just kinda looking for a new band to get into. latley i have been in a deep alternative nirvana-esc style. im looking for a band with some deep lyrics and that will give you something to think about. any suggestions?

My recommendation is The Clash, now you people may think 'hey! Thats punk! Thats not that deep!' but, the song Ghetto Defendant is anti-heroin, so be quiet. Another recommendation I can offer is a lot of blues, the feel behind the music is enough to make you feel it, and the words are usually pretty deep too. Stevie Ray Vaughan, Leadbelly, Robert Johnson, Big Joe Williams, BB King, all good places to start. Have fun with it.

Man, I just bought "Murder By Death's" new album, Red of Tooth and Claw. It tells a fantastic story of murder and betrayal. Check them out. Hell, Queens of the Stone Age, or Wolfmother. Here lately though I have been going back to bands like Cream and good old Soundgarden. Some old Screaming Trees.
