I saw this on Leno a while back, and completely forgot about it until now. David Lee Roth has gone mad!! No more stage acrobatics, no more flying, no more tight leather outfits, and no more drugs. that is the recipe for desaster that sparked strummin' with the devil, DLR's bluegrass album of VH hits. it puts shame to those classic hits, and made me cry. i have one question for Mr. Roth, and that is why. why did he stop doing drugs? why did he think it was a good idea to do bluegrass covers of Van Halen? and why has he not been assassinated by Edward yet?

"Strummin' with the Devil" was probably the reason Eddie went into rehab. He probably took something, heard that album and figured he was having a bad trip! LOL. Don't get me wrong, I love Eddie as a guitar player and I honestly hope he does well during his rehabilitation. But, DLR? What the hell was he thinking? Next you know, DLR will be doing a tour with a clogging troupe!

Oh and one thing about DLR and his phrases. Although I think that "Strummin' with the Devil" was a dumb idea, DLR is really not a stupid person. He's actually a very intelligent speaker and a funny one at that. I only wish someone would publish a book on DLRisms! However in my opinion, "Strummin' with the Devil" contradicts what I just said about his intelligence LOL.

Actually this was not a DLR project; One of the fellas from the Hellecasters put this together and invited Dave to play on it; naturally he jumped on it. I loved it. Take note of the players; they can EAT EVH for breakfast. Slick arrangements. lol

hahahahaha Dave rules. I just love that guy. Funny as hell. If I had to spend any time with the guy, though... I'm sure it'd get old.

For me anyway, maybe I'm just not used to the album. But yes, the musicianship playing wise is incredible! But I guess it would be like listening to Lemmy & Motorhead musac style in an elevator LOL.
