My compliments on a fine post-Mothers Day post .....

There is no-doubt that women are the kindler-gentler gender. Their giving only grows exponentially when they become Moms; go figure.

I had (still have the original) a vinyl copy of the only album that Ted Green ever recorded. I lived without it for years (no turntable anymore) and one day driving someplace .... I mentioned how amazing this guy was to my bride. Christmas before last, I found a CD under the tree (we all know what a CD looks like when wrapped, don't we?) and totally expected to get some contemporary piece-of-musical crap.

I was Ted Green's recording, of course (Google 'Art of Life Records').

Happy indeed with the music, I cannot tell you what it meant that she heard me say how fond I was of this guy. She remembered, then took the time to find a reissue -- something I hadn't even done for myself. I still learn so much from this woman about the nature of unselfishness .....

Over and above all that ... she tolerates me sitting in the living room dabblin' with a guitar while she watches her favorite TV show. Of course my exhibition of tolerance is that I sit there while she is watching some stupid-a$$ home improvement show ...... ;-))

I must admit, though JTC -- most women wouldn't go to a retail store and buy a piece of Jimi ... any more than we adventure to the cosmetic counter to buy stinky-stuff .........
