I was actually expecting something even further out there DC. It's actually a very melodic piece...I enjoyed it much more when I wasn't watching the vid, and just listened.

Speaking of LSD, theres a great Tony Williams record out there (Live Emergency?) with John McLaughlin and the whole band is triping on acid.....

I suppose I shouldn't contribute to the deliquency of minors reading these messages. Yea, I've done acid. MANY many years ago. It was during one of those youthful *stupid* chapters in my life. Good thing I lived though it all. I don't recommend anyone do such stuff. It ain't worth it. Even if you do survive it, you end up wondering just how much you've scrambled your brain.

DC,

I know what you mean...Kids..., Drugs are bad mkay. From about 1991-1993 I did my share of drugs. I took once 3.5 hits of some really terrific acid, and had the most terrifying and somehow elating experience I ever had with the drug. After that, there really wasn't much more to experience on the psychedilic drug side. I recall my vision being magnified to a degree (still is) lights had a halo effect for at least a year afterwards, and tracers became a regular part of my every day, which slowly subsided over the years. Lucky to survive...in more ways than just the obvious yes....I wouldn't trade those experiences for anything though.

My faves are natural minor, harmonic minor and phrygian mode. I use those alot. I also use minor pentatonic and diminished ocassionally. But when playing other people's stuff, the music you play dictates what scales you use.
