I always WANT to love these guys. But something about the music just doesn't grab me and pull me in. Blood Sugar Sex Magic was huge and came out at a peek moment in my life but for me it never stuck. It's not an album I listen to today. I've even had the pleasure of having an intimate lunch with the Flea and hung out with Kiedis and Navarro in London.

My point - this latest video for "Tell me baby" changes this. This video, in my opinion is awesome and says allot about all musicians or anyone trying to "make it". I love the humility, I love the vibe, I love the message. It made me buy the song and this song has placed itself into my daily playlist, which is no small feat.

It is a very cool spot for sure...it makes me smile but I haven't quite figured out why. It took years for Soundgarden to hit me in the ventricles so maybe it 'll take a few more years for the Chili's to do the same. Maybe I'll never get it!

I forgot to ask you, did you by any chance try for the butter dish right at the same moment Flea did and brush hands only to say, "Well, excuse me" and lose a moment in time in each others eyes?

OK that settles it. I've been thinking of making the switch to skin tight leather pants and a mullet, this confirms that it's a great idea.

My opinion is that maybe you should stay away from their singles as this isnt really where the genius in the peppers lies. Try some of the more obscure songs on Stadium Arcadium, like "Hey" or "Slow Cheetah", and if you're looking for something a little harder maybe Frusciante's solo work, like his work as Ataxia in "automatic writing".........just a thought.

No problem, I hope you like it....I find the peppers sound so much better with a really good pair of headphones because, especially in their newer music, they have added so many layers that you just can't hear other wise.

Personally I havn't been able to get into much of the Chili Peppers since they have moved away from funk. I mean i give them a listen once in a while (their new stuff) but if I want to hear some good Peppers I head back to songs like Get up and Jump or Me and My Friends, or i go to this little farmers market down the road....
