I guess that this would be a good place to post a topic about this series. I saw it a while back and I saw it again at a friends house.

I thought it was pretty cool as it goes all the way from black sabbath to modern day heavy metal.

what did everyone think of it???? for those who saw it.

I've seen it twice or three times, I can't remember. I thought it was pretty cool. Learned a lot that I did not know before and cleared up several questions.

I liked it a lot, I saw it twice too. Which isn't easy to do, cos it's in about 3 or 4 hour parts. A lot of VH-1's "Rock-Docs" are pretty good, like the ones on drugs and "The US vs. John Lennon."

I have seen it and thought it was a great series. It gave a very thorough history of the evolution of Heavy Metal music from its early foundations right up to todays music and bands. It also provides good insight into the birth of Metal and other genres which haved played a part in shaping where it came from and where it is today. I recommend it to anyone, Metalhead or other, as Metal has definitely taken parts from a variety of music. \m/o_o\m/

The day VH1 starts to act like they know what metal is, I'll stop listening to it.

Watch the documentary "Metal: A Headbanger's Journey" then post a thread about how awesome it was.

I saw "Metal: A Headbanger's Journey" - it was a great documentary. He looked pretty uncomfortable during his interviews in Norway - some scary stuff. A must watch for any hard rocker/metal head out there.

I also liked "The Decline of Western Civilization, Part II," that was a fun watch. Especially the interview with Chris Holmes of Wasp.

Yea, I saw "Metal - A headbangers Journey". He was interviewing current members of Mayhem, in that past members are either in jail or dead. You can check the interviews on youtube.

I wouldn't say that it was 100% accurate, but it was pretty cool. I think that "Metal - A Headbanger's Journy" was better.
