I could say the chicks. I have a killer "bed the babe" set that's never failed me. But now that I'm married, (again,) I have to settle for the wife sitting in the front flashing me. But that's more a result of playing than a reason.

It's just music itself. Being able to play is something not everyone can do. We're a bit sheltered on this site, because damned near everyone plays. If I look around at the nearest 100 people I work with, there are only 2 others that play at all, and neither of them seriously.

Because of that, I play more than guitar. Tonight, we have a songwriter in the studio who can't write music. My brother worked with him for a couple weeks on getting things arranged. Since he already took the guitar duties, I moved to the drums, just so I could play. (Not that a second guitar is bad, but when we finally record his tracks, adding another guitar will be easy. Right now keeping a beat is more important to success here.)

Music drives me to play, whether it's guitar or not.

Because I enjoy it.

Had the "chance for fame", Made a living, had some good and BAD times but now it's because I like to play and nothing else.

2 reasons.

1. My absolute love of the guitar. Our affair started when I was 13 and outside of a strange after my father passed away, the fire has not diminished. It gave/gives me purpose, joy, and is probably the only reason I have not offed myself.

2. To quite the voices and noises in my head. I have a spirit that follows me and writes music through me. He is constantly putting melodies in my head. Guitar is the only release valve I have.

what drives me to play is its relaxing and something to just get away from everybody and do what i do best

I play cause i enjoy it. It gives me a release after a long day at work

music releases your feeling such as hate and jealousy, it makes you feel good and happy with what you have

some may say music is apart of there lives,
some may say music IS there life...

but I happen to see that Music IS life. What is life without the rhythm of the heart beat, the harmony of the wind and the leaves that are carried by it. The Sounds of the city much defend out by the orchestra of Storms... i play music simply because it is what i am, rhythm, rhyme, lyrics, and a chorus. So music isnt my life... My life is a song, and the rhythm of the world guides it.

That is why i play guitar.
