Somehow this is not surprising. When you consider all the restrictions placed on the "German" military after WWII, and the fact that they still exist to prevent Germany from starting WWIII, it's not at all surprising they're out of shape. I mean, what can they actually do?

Of course. Guiding Lara Croft to jump gap after gap or leading elite task forces in middle east via a keyboard is hardly exercise. Unless they ban videogames so kids will have to go out and play, they need to take really drastic measures in schools to force a good hour of daily exercise on all kids. Currently sports over here are once or twice a week and the kids are usually allowed to be lazy and sit on the bench instead of working out.

I'm lucky. I eat junk and stay skinny even when I don't exercise at all. (I do try to exercise though.)

Wow, and i thought America was bad. It almost seems like every country is either overweight or starved, there is no in between.

I believe it's profitable for obesity to exist. I mean, there's a whole industry that depends on your lack of good health. Weight Watchers, pharmaceutical companies, Bally's Gym, BowFlex, GNC stores, and lastly, funeral homes. Croaking early is also less of a drain on social security, and makes more room for the rest of the population. I wonder, if some pharmaceutical could create a pill that would keep us all in shape, would they?
