John Daily is the worst. Why would you invite someone on your show who is trying to promote their book and insult them like that? Maybe he is trying to be like Bill O'Rielly but not as smart.

I can understand your point about the rudeness, but he does have a point about the whole premise of Chris Matthews book. Do we want to pattern our life's activities after political campaigns? To me, a political campaign is what NOT to do in life.

John Stewart is just calling him out.

Matthews is one of the biggest malakas on TV. He is so entrenched in the tabloid end of politics. It makes me sick. He *loves* to talk about bottom of the barrel stuff like the way Fred Thompson smells. Where is the substance? How about some issues? Hardball is hardly the show he promotes it to be. He also has an unhealthy obsession with Bill and Hillary Clinton: hates them, but cannot stop talking about them.

To answer your question, fuck no! I like dealing with real, genuine people whose calling card is a fake smile.

Maybe so but I would have to read the book.

Daily read the book and I guess did not like it. If that is the case, dont have him on.

Daily says Mathews is his friend. When Mathews asked him to come on his show, He said"I dont troll". What a friend.

Daily must be a drummer

Colbert is worse. There have been moments, and I'll be damned if I can remember any one of them in particular, where there was an issue plaguing our culture where the author/essayist had legitimate legs to stand on but wasn't afforded the opportunity to speak because Colbert was a louder, more charismatic showman than his guest.

I also haven't read Matthews' book so it's unfair for me to offer a diatribe on its contents but life is a journey that should defy convention and predetermined molds that I feel sometimes we're expected to squeeze ourselves into. Shit, I just fell off my soapbox...

(I think I twisted my ankle.)
