So i got a job for the summer. Here in Cyprus we get about 3 months summer holiday from school, and since im finishing my GCSE exams this term, i get an extra 2 weeks holiday. now thats pretty awsome.
i got the whole summer to be my lazy self. so i was thinking about how good on guitar i would be by the time i got back to school in september.
Then my friend told me that she can get us jobs in the summer. and the job is....Guitar Shop!!
im sooo excited. working for the whole summer in a guitar store. its gonna be pretty awsome, and a very good memory too. my 16 year old summer... the owner also told me and my friend that we will be able to get cheaper stuff from there.
so what were gonna do is half our pay, and then get half price on anything in the store...to a certain extent of course :P
these are the things i want to get:
-Electric-Acoustic guitar
-Flying V (dont have a specific Make :P )
-New Amp (again no make :P )
-Guitar Accessories and whatever =D

sorry it was a pretty long post, but i had a lot to share lol

Congrats dude. Certainly a "dream job" for someone your age. Just don't be like a Guitar Center dick who, when a customer comes in, sits there and shows off "how well he can play," driving the customer from the store because he can't get any service.

Have fun with it! Shoud be a good experience.

One of my early jobs was at a record store. I went to work there even though it paid a quarter less per hour than the job I had, I eventually became the manager of the store, I wouldn't have passed that up for anything. Enjoy your summer.

That's great news Savva! Spending so many hours among guitars, playing them all eventually between customers, playing the amps, the effects... By the time you're out of there at the end of summer you'll have a pretty good knowledge and opinion about music gear. The bad news is that you're going to want a lot of what you're going to try in there. :P
