I've played for a year and a half or so...before that I played, but I didn't teach myself anything.

I've been playing for 4 years now. I started the summer I turned 15. I bought an acoustic First Act guitar for myself from Toys R Us for $70. If it hadn't come with a book, I probably wouldn't even know how to play. Hahaha.

Woof... I started playing the guitar in 1968. That would make it 40 years. Of course, I haven't spent ALL my free time playing, and due to an injury, didn't play at all for almost 4 years.

Light weight.. :-) I started actually "working" (as we laughing refer to it) in about 66. Playing a few years before that so, figure since 63 or so..

That is just guitar, duane. I started playing the drums in 1958. I was "working" playing reeds when I was 16, in 1967. Are you then just claiming to be OLDER than I am? I sincerely hope that is the case!

I'm guessing we are about the same age.. :-)

I played piano and organ before guitar.. I was a "late" bloomer so to speak. :-o

Even at 40 years, there's still a lot to learn. Great thing about guitar... Just when you think you've mastered something you find there's a completely different way to do the same thing. Learning never ends. Neither does practice.

I picked up my electric in the summer of 2002. Add another few months, a year maybe, of noodling on a classical guitar before that. That makes 6-7 years of noise pollution :)
