Math Problem
Can anyone show me how to simplify this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's number 10 on the exam i dont know how to do.

Yes it's D and it's solved in just 3 steps.

y(-1) below goes above to meet the other y and make y(2).
(-2) becomes (2) by reversing the fraction upside down
then you pass (2) to each individual member in the fraction. 5(2)=25, 3(2)=9, x(4)(2)=x(8) and y(2)(2)=y(4) .

Honestly I expected something more challenging, and I'm not a big fan of math... What grade are you in?

ya that was actually one of the easiest questions. It was just a stupid error. i forgot to divide the top and bottom by ysquared. Its the grade 10 pre AP provincial exam. I dont think its in the US. Its a stupid canadian thing.
