is it just me, or has mtv bloody gone nuts?! i remember back in the day, when there was i bigger variety of music on it, but now its totally hiphop and RNB based.
am i just going crazy or is mtv not what it used to be?

MTV has gone the way they did for ratings. It's all ratings. People like rap and hip-hop and pop and MTV wanted to cash in on that. MTV also noticed that reality shows get big ratings, so they pretty much ditched good music in general. I never did watch MTV in my earlier years, when I wasn't that into music, and today I still don't. It's all a waste of time. MTV 2 isn't as bad as the original, they show Headbanger's Ball, but it's pretty much the same thing. MTVH is just horrible; all day it's music videos, and it's all pop or rap or hip-hop. Nothing ever good.

I watch VH1. VH1 has not gone the way of MTV...yet. I hope that they still stay as they are. The original VH1 is starting to slip a little, but VH1 Classic is nice. Fuse is a good channel as well. They have variety in the music they broadcast.

mtv doesn't play music any more they should call it, buncha bullshit tv. MTV2 and VH1 Classic rock though...metal mania!!!!!!!!!

1: i think everyone will agree with me when i say that, simply, mtv does NOT rock.
2: in forums, we prefere to actualy discuss things, not just state wat you think. if you look at wat all the other guys said, they all had a reason.
