Ok, so I'm bored tonight, the wifes watching American Idle, I Googled "guitar" and yep, here I am. I have had my guitars stored away for many years, (I don't know what I was thinking). I am all of the sudden going guitar crazy. I've busted out the les Paul, the Takamini, and even the 64 Gibson J-45. I am rusty but wouldn't say I suck. I play a little of everything but have a new fascination for slide guitar. I've tuned a couple of my guitars to open E and bought a couple slides. I guess that's about it for now. Thanks for having me.

Whatever you do... DON'T start buying recording equipment! It's worse than guitars!! Before you know it, you'll be building a separate building to house all your gear, drooling over microphones that costs thousands and hesitating less to buy them than you would another guitar... Music is a sickness regardless of what you focus on. Apparently, your illness was just dormant for awhile. Welcome to the "ward" and realize there is no cure.

LOL! I know a gigging guitar player who got bit by the build-a-recording-studio bug. That's what's consuming his time these days. Once upon a time, I decided I was going to start modifying and building guitars. I soon learned I'd rather play them than work on them. I still have my 2 incomplete projects.....in pieces.

true that GAS is a bitch, just remember if its not gona improve your sound or make you a better player you don't need it. I've spent thousands over the last decade to get where i am with my gear, now i'm all set but i wish i would have known then what i know now.
