Looking to get a new or slightly used SUV possibly this coming week. I need something to haul my gear around in. I have a head, a 412 cab, 2 electrics (with hard shell cases), an acoustic (with hard shell case), and an 8 space rack. Price range is <=$25k. Any suggestions?

LOL... I drive a Miata. Can't even fit an acoustic in the trunk unless you take it out of the case and carefully angle it in.

Sounds like you need a roadie. I've always considered that a better option anyway, because, #1 you don't have to do all the work and #2 you have someone to blame when they scratch or ding your gear.

I've got nothing. Don't like big vehicles. I do like how they're now calling the smaller ones "crossover suv's." In other words, a glorified station wagon. Funny how things cycle back around, isn't it?

I have a '05 Saturn Vue. Six-cylinder AWD. Almost 30 mpg. Got it for under $23k summer of 2005. It's not a hummer by any stretch but pound for pound a good little vehicle. My wife keeps telling me it's not a truck but I beat the hell out of it anwya. My prior Saturn had 160k+ miles so I'm not averse to Saturns.

Good luck

I recently bought a previously driven/consumed Outback. Just like the Vue, it gets near 30 mpg, loaded, for 18k. The Subaru wagon I had prior to that had 225k miles on it before it needed a new clutch. I traded it when I got to 250k but there was not a spot of rust anywhere on the car nor any mechanical sign of it quitting anytime time soon.

I enjoy skinny skiing, heckling figure skaters, flamenco guitar, the blue stuff you put your combs in, good drummers, focaccia bread and coffee out of a french press
