its a really high pitched sound. 90% of people under 20 can hear it and 90% of people older than 20 can't. Used it to annoy people in class today withut the teachers ever hearing it

To be clear I wasn't trying to be a complete jackass with my poops in the pants comments. I was referring to the "Brown Note":

The brown note, according to an urban legend, is an infrasound frequency that causes humans to lose control of their bowels due to resonance. There is no scientific evidence to support the claim that a "brown note" exists.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_note

Oh the fun I could have in meetings if I could only harness the power.

I'm preatty sure the brown note does exist it was just most systems could not produce the sound as it is in the 12hz area (a.k.a. to low to hear), but i think this one is supposed to make you throw up.

22 and I heard that. 20 is sort of a low threshhold to claim most people have lost that much of their hearing. Unless ofcourse you have spent your teen years with loud music blasting through headphones right into your ears for many hours a day...

EDIT: Woohooo made it to 666 cred! Now it's MY turn to be EVIL BWAHAHAHAHHAAhahhahahaha.... !!!!!

35, and not only can I NOT hear it, I discovered I couldn't hear it when I was in high school in my electricity class. We were playing with a frequency modulator in class, and some joker put it up to that sound & left it there and I think I was probably the only one who couldn't hear it. Not sure if it was always gone for me or if I lost it due to nerve damage. I started listening to loud music at a young age and started going to live shows and playing in bands at age 15. When I was in my twenties, I realized that my hearing was starting to get worse so I went to a doctor and was told that I have the hearing of a 70 year old war veteran, and I will probably need a hearing aid by the time I'm 40. Most of my hearing loss is due to nerve damage from loud music. Now I never go to a concert without earplugs and I try not to crank it so much at home. I've met other musicians with the same sort of hearing loss. Because of this, I can't stress how important it is to protect your ears around loud music. I used to be the crazy fan in the front row, right by the speakers at live shows. Now I never go to a concert or club without earplugs & I stay far away from the speakers. I guess the good of not being able to hear that tone is that if the military tries to use it as a weapon, it won't have an effect on me!

It's not really so annoying. It sounds like when your ear's buzzing when you're down with the flu or something. Ok, probably it can get very annoying if you're exposed to it for a long time, but isn't every noise so? Until you get used to it and discard it in the background and pay no more attention to it.

Aaaaand.... I gotta kill ya for ruining my cred count already >:((
