EDIT MIX, I turned down the solo mix how does it sound now?

http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=101132

Ok so most of you heard my recordings from when I first started and the solos, riffs, were whack and way out of time pretty bad , but I have been working on it and this is my latest attempt, I forced myself to have slow and fast parts.

Just so you now there are points where I stop and go off on purpose .

and I would like to know what you think of the short solo ( you can skip to it, its at the end)

is it better than the other one I tried to not make it flashy but I solo how it comes to me best, I will try to slow down and just not run scales but this song felt more like it needed speed I dunno >.

Dude, you've come a long way in a short time! The song itself reminds me a bit of Metallica's "One" as for the solo, I really like it, but it comes in like an ice pick to the forehead, meaning it's loud enough that it drowns out the song itself. If you can dial that back a bit, I think you really have a tasty little metal number there!

sounds to me like SATAN endowed you with the power of the METAL. i am going to sincerely ask you to do something for satan, god, your family, friends, and future generations....

SPREAD THE WORD OF THE METAL, LET IT BE KNOWN THAT THE METAL ROCKS, AND BRING OTHERS OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE METAL SO IT MAY BE PRESERVED THROUGH THE GENERATIONS...... and if you have time....sacrifice a damn fine ladie for me, would ya?

great job bud. keep up the good work, and let the metal live. (although it always will anyways... because you can not kill the metal, the metal will strike you down, to the ground.)

It's easily the best song you've ever put up here. Good stuff man.

I lived in CA for 6 years. Lots of the latinos out there are into heavy metal and classic rock. Lots of Mexican-americans out there who love that stuff. Hardcore, metal, Slayer, Metallica, Santana, all that stuff...

Out in the East Coast, prolly not so much. lol.

No. not really. I wasn't thinking that at all. You're Latino anyway aren't you. You can always stereotype your own people and be safe. lol.

One answer - Slow down.

Your riff is not on time for the 99% of the time, meaning that you have to practice that first. no matter how good riff can be, if you're not on time it pretty much means nothing.

Solo - same thing. Slow down! Try to build a solo from the scales you know, not relying on 'em. I hear too much repetition, and I don't hear the main theme from what you played.

Slow it down and get the riff right in the pocket first, when you do that, then move on to your solo. When you practice solo always start out from slower tempo, play and listen to note by note. Try to lead from one to another.

Idea is there - now your fingers have to follow 'em.
Where words fail, music speaks.
