I have been busy lately, but managed to squeeze in a few little recordings, nothing mad, nothing out of the ordinary, just simple little efforts. Hope you like them.

Splasicmenco.

http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=125198

Its not Spanish, Classical, or Flamenco......its a mixture of all three. Prize goes to whoever figures out what the fuck I was playing in the backing guitar.....cos I sure as hell don't know!!

Short & Sweet

Well it is!!

Moods (Seven) - Hope

http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=125066

A ballad, for all you lovers out there in Guitarland........hehe. Ach I was taking the piss out of myself on this. There are a few dodgy moments but give it a listen anyway. And yes the guitar is a little loud in the mix but still, it'll do, I'm not a friggin sound engineer I'm a guitar player.

Comments as always are welcome, but criticism is appreciated more-so. Thanks as always guys and that one chick who came on here once.....not literally I might add, but yeah.....shhhhh, she might be looking.

And for no apparent reason here's a chick that looks like Gwen Stefani with a blow-up lady. Figure out which is which?

Splasicmenco.... an eagle soaring, surveying that he reigns over.

Short & Sweet had a Jeff Beck kind of feel and sound (I'm thinking from the Guitar Shop album era which was one of my personal favorites periods).

And, as you know, your Moods pieces are some of my favorite music... so what JTC said on iComp.

HAHA!!!

It WAS a trick question, yes in fact BOTH of them are highly inflated.

Oh, the tracks being produced here from the mothership are all TC Ellis, I'm still trying to tinker around with dials and buttons and stuff to get it right, but the tones are getting there, well the ones I'm happy with anyway.

Cheers Rob!!!!!!!!!!

Splasicmenco. The title says it all! Good stuff. This would be perfect backdrop music for an old silent dialogue movie. Makes me think of over emphasized body language and facial expressions from the silent screen.

Short and Sweet = Splasicmenco. It’s the same song!

Moods. We need Axl Rose to clear this up for us. I think he could do that pain dance of his and words would just come out. Then you would have a hit on you hands! Seriously, it’s a very relaxing and well-done piece that you have. I also like the way you didn’t over power it with lead and gave it just enough to have some feeling to it.

"Splasicmenco", New Age goes bad ass. Excellent clean tone! I like the use of stereo chorus. "Moods" really caught my attention. The beginning reminds me of something Queen would do, or Freddie Mercury might sing to, i.e. "Who wants to live forever" but then the Beckish solo kicks in and changes the mood. The piano sounds excellent, but repetative. A change of tempo might have helped that, or even some modulation if done correctly. When the organ kicks in, it reminds me a bit of "Whiter Shade of Pale." Excellent work Padre! BTW, I recognize Gwen Stefani. Who's the chick on the right?

How the hell have you been man!!!!!!

Woo-hoo, Jeff (JTC) actually asked why I didn't link songs to G.Com, in fairness I thought no one gave a shit anymore about the music. But hell man if this post hasn't brought out some interesting returns.

I'm a happy bunny, and all the better after recent events. This has brought a smile back, thanks guys.

I'll post until my brains fall out my ass bud, but I guess music is a very personal statement. But hey, not everything is a winner.

And I'm not typing much about those pics......... hard to type with one hand and an eye on the prize!

I like MOODS the best. Just maybe a tad too long.
Splasicmenco. I didn't know you had those tricks up your sleeve. Nice backing for something. Not sure what.
S&S Didn't work for me with the strange keyboardy ideas. They distracted from the guitar a bit.
See, you get it, warts an' all from Tipp.

Hehe........cheers Brian.

I do my best, well most of the time, but all I care about is that someone likes it and the track makes someone happy. But nobody is ever fuckin happy are they?

I don;t really have anything to add to the comments. Splasimenco has an interesting flavour. And JTC hit the nail ont he head about moods. The song in between comes up as splasimenco again to me.

This thread really took off

A little O/T here.

I think that's a sign that there's a lot of us on here just waiting to pounce on something new that we can comment on. As the forum is still in beta and has a little way to go to be truly user friendly, I suspect that it will flourish soon. UG is flooded with young folks and rather limited perspectives. HC is not very busy and the other one I keep tabs on is guitars.co.uk which is very small and dominated by a clique who are full-timers and go in for big budget rack mounted FX etc. Knowledgeable and friendly, but I hesitate to talk about my cheap MFX and the like. Also, I can't talk about my Ellis plans as the owner is a rival and was a bit rude when I gave him the enquiry, and openly told him I has also looking elsewhere.
Getting back to the point, I do think that when this site's forums are easier to navigate and set up better for large volume traffic, it has a lot of potential.

I'm working on a classical piece similar to Gilberto Concerto.......no backing, no drums, just 3/4 guitars all harmonizing away!!

Its ummmmm.........interesting? haha

Hope someone digs it. Thanks guys this has been inspiring, and aloha to you all, the usual suspects and also Brian, which was a pleasant surprise on this post!!

Slainte!!!!!
