This guy is INCREDIBLE. i was wondering if anyone had some tips on how to write in a style that is similar to that.

Tips? Practice! Lots and lots of practice. Then when you get tired of practicing...practice even more. That's what it takes. I guarantee that guy dedicated his entire life to learning how to play that well. I'd be quite surprised to find that he wasn't formally trained. If you want to write in that style, you have to know that style.
