Well alright, since I said I think almost no one Icompositions really gives HONEST feedback, I thought Id ask yall, one thing I do besides the cliche BS is I like to use alot of effects, and almost random loops. this is something I had been messing with in the past week spare time Id record a different track for each effect then mess with it......

this one here I used octave, phaser, auto wah, delay/reverb.....even used a slide for one part (Ibz thanks using your slid made me think about).I decided to save any distortion for the last part of the song....

I dont know what genre or style this is? random crap? :D lol

Avant-guarde aboriginal music meets the american south, the far west and the Batican in a horror/thriller movie setting? O_o

It's awesomely absurd! It took me by surprise more than once.
But I'm partial to a good whacka rythm, so... And I love the sound you used for the slide part.

I should find me some random loops and do that too. Sounds like great fun.

PS. What's up with all of you referencing me when slide is involved??? It's not like I invented it. I'm not even good at it. Stop it y'all, you make me blush. :D

lol Ibz the slide, the power you have it! :O

believe it or not you hit the nail on the head! I wanted to make a little movie with a western cowboy killing a zombie preacher but some how make it 21st century???

like it beings with a walk down the street, and heres this cowboy kind of guy, its kind of like holy and unholy?

ah if only I could feed a tube from my head into a recording device :D

dark but twangy? lol

and yeah really man get some strings, sax, piano, syns, rap beats, R&B, vinyl scratches (my fav) and just mess with them!

Well then. If your music told me exactly what you had in your mind, what more can you possibly ask for? This is 100% success. :)

Speaking of movie music, here are some ideas. It is good music for instroducing the setting and the main characters, slowly with suspense, tracking a trail of blood and dead bodies. I can almost see it in front of my eyes, the cowboy showing up the slide part and the zombie preacher, well during organ part. But it feels unfinished without a battle part. It really needs a part where it builds up before it falls back again.

True that. A ready loop unties your hands in that it gets you jumpstarted and grooving but then it ties them up again because it is what it is and it can't follow you if you want to go in a different direction... Which I guess is why I don't use ready loops in the first place.

Specially with metal riffs I want to hear spals symbols just in the right spots or build ups but its a freakin hassle so I forget.

or find a drummer :)

EDIT: I should say any music, there are manys time I want something and I cant get it because of loops maybe I should collab more
