I have 4 SG bodies in various conditions I would like to restore them to their former glory, anyone any idea what I use to get the same (cherry) colour ?

Can you find any cherry coloured nitrocellulose?
You could put it straight over the other coat......but it wouldnt be that good a finish. If you think your up for the job you can sand back to the wood then put some more coats on. I would look it up in google.

There is a luthier in my town that is great at refinishing guitars and would probably be glad to give you advise. If you want his number, send me a message. I would post it but if he got too many calls he would give me a hard time.
