The two opening tracks (Friends and The Extremist) are a strong way to kick off this outstanding CD from Joe Satriani. Track 4 (Cryin') is a powerful track that has Joe wringing emotion out of his guitar. For the casual (read:"non guitar centered") fan, track 5 (Rubina's Blue Sky Happiness) will draw them in to the fold with it's smooth chords and cool groove. Track 6 (Summer Song) is a constant fan favorite, and for good reason. What's not to like? If you're a fan, you already have this CD. If you're looking to fill out your collection, this is a good place to start.
The album that inspired countless guitarists, including myself. Surely this album should be in any aspiring rock guitarist's, or accomplished rock guitarist's, catalog. "Runnin' with the Devil", "Eruption", "Ice Cream Man", "Feel Your Love Tonight", "Ain't Talkin' Bout Love". It's all there on the album that introduced the world to the "brown sound" and set fingertips to fretboards around the world.
