Hello boys and girls...well I am finaly on Guitardotcom...amazing. Can't believe I have never found it before...and I was so taken with it I added everything when I should've been working haha. Still guitar comes first, right?
 I have been playing for 15 years and while I will never make it as a famous guitarist I have enjoyed my fair share of successes. I just love writing stuff and will be putting up a few testers in the near future.
My sideline for the past year or so has been creating some backing tracks to famous songs so that folks can play along and hone their guitar skills. My website for this venture is up in cyberspace but is still undergoing its last few modifications. I hope to have the final version of the site up and running by mid-August. Mind you people can still benefit - the main change I am making is putting songs under artists names rather than listing every song alphabetically (thanks for that suggestion Shons!!!). I am working at putting the tabs up as well so that the music is there to be learned. Also I am going through my POD XT with some mates and trying to work out some decent sounds that can be used on each song. A mountain or what? Still its fun!!
 This is partly a business venture (each track / tab / patch sells at $0.50) but I also feel beginners need to have something to aim for. Is all very well strumming G-C-D a few times. But when a kid or newbie actually gets to play the song he or she loves then the feeling (I still remember it well when I finally played Hammer To Fall - the song that inspired me to play guitar) is immense. It is an achievement.
