While quite a detachment from previous releases, this album displays an incredible growth in range this band is capable of. The album begins with more pop-y songs, but the second half of the album is closer to the previous sound of The Fall of Troy. With heavy bluesy overtones throughout, while still maintaining the harsh technical appreach they're known for, this album is for more diverse than anything they've done before. Recorded with an emphises on raw sound compared to doppelganger (it had a bit of a plasticy overproduced sound), the bass is far more noticable, and has a much greater impact, inccreasing the depth of this album even more. This could be an album that needs some time to grow on you if you're expecting their previous sound only, but its nevertheless apparent that this band's musicianship has grown quite a bit since their previous releases.
