I'm among the many saddened and shocked by the loss of Boston lead vocalist Brad Delp this past week.  His voice was one of those few with the power and the character to stand up proud while mixed with equally distinctive and powerful music...Freddie Mercury and Robert Plant would be other examples.

I'm at a loss of words, really, as I grew up (or failed to grow up) with Boston as an important part of my life's soundtrack.  It makes me a little melancholy, and I start considering the ages of so many other musicians I've enjoyed my whole life...

Spring is springing forth with a fury...it's getting warmer, I'm craving both my wife and new gear more than usual (not that either escapes my desires for long), and I'm one of many people sneezing their fool heads off every 10 seconds.  Ah, sex, gear, and allergies...what a combination!

I'm sure I'll be rewiring half my guitars this season, adding to the pedal collection, and maybe trying to trade my way into another amp/guitar.  The cover band is beig offered more gigs...which equals more credit card payments...hmmmmmm.
