Strings

Well there’s not a lot to say about strings but I’ll give you what I got. Well there’s two types of strings mainly you have your acoustics and electrics. But also in each catagorey there are more variations.

So for electric you have nickel and steel. Steel is much more durable but lacks the vintage sound that nickel strings capature. So if your looking for a hard core durable string that snags a nice metallic sound and can take a beating go for steel. But if you want a nice vintage clean sound go for a nickel. Note: you won’t really be able to tell the difference for a while and even though the nickel gets the sound I like sometimes I go for steel for the durrabilaty.

Now we got acoustics there are two types of acoustic guitars to begin with classical and regular. So lets start out with regular with regular you got phosphor bronze and bronz. phosphor bronze is much like steel it lasts longer and stays crisper longer but it doesn’t lack sound it has its own sound it warmer than a regular bronze string. A bronze string doesn’t last as long or stay crisp as long but they are much less warm but have a much preferred country twang. If you like single coil electrics you’l probably prefer regular bronze strings if you like humbuckers then you will like phosphor bronze.

For classical which I don’t know much about you have nylon strings which actuly for the three higher strings is nylon but for the rest they are made of copper and silver coated which hold and organic sound.
