The basics

The first thing you need to learn about the guitar are the parts. The first and most obvious parts are the body, pickups, and neck. So I’ll run a little into each of those. First we have the body which can be made of several different woods that will affect the tone. The neck can also be made of several different woods that can affect your tone. But the neck also has the frets on it which help you know what note you play. Now we will go to pickups pickup’s produce your sound from your if you play and electric.

            Now we will move to some other parts nut, bridge, saddle, and strings. So we will start with the nut which is located at the top of the neck where the strings first meet the fretboard it holds up the strings so you can play them. The nut is what anchors the strings to the body and  holds the saddle. The saddle does the same job as the nut it holds the strings up so they are playable. There are also tuners which tenses the strings so they are playable as notes not just sounds. Also there are other bells and whistles.
