The White Stripes: Icky Thump

For every new White Stripes album that comes out I go through the following stages:

1. I don't like it.
2. It starts to grow on me.
3. I can't stop listening to it.

I'm currently at stage 2 and I've just bought it this morning. I've come to the conclusion that it's because every album is unique and original. So while you've come to expect a certain tone and vibe from The White Stripes, they constantly surprise you. I find the fact that it's just two of them amazing and clearly Jack White is quite gifted but still, I always find myself asking the question "just a guitarist and a drummer?", yep it's just the two of them.

So for any existing White Stripes fan, if you're like me, you'll dig this album after a few listens. For someone not familiar with the White Stripes, this album just might turn you into a fan.

They've done it again. With only 2 band members The White Stripes have yet again pumped out a album that will surprise, amuse and at times confuse you.
