I've got a really nice Sigma Martin 6 string acoustic.  I've had it 15 years give or take a couple of years.
It is still flawless after all these years except for one ding on the front. The same can't be said for the case though. I took the guitar to a friends house one night, and when getting ready to come home, I put the case (with the guitar inside) on the ground behind the car, opened the trunk, and got distracted. I noticed a crunching sound when i backed the ol 89 Buick Regal Gran Sport up, and stopped just in time. The case was crushed, but the guitar was just fine.
Never really played it much, but someday I plan to get back into it.
