THE only album that stayed in my player for a month straight, almost exclusively. Still in the medieval-ish mood but with a strong rock influence. Ritchie is spending quite some time again on his electric guitars. Adds beautifully to Candice's voice and the acoustic instruments. The title track has an electric guitar solo absolutely amazing, loaded with emotion. It makes me shiver every time ;) .
A more recent album. The medieval element is still prominent in some songs.while other lean definitely on the rock side. The band is still having fun, so be prepared to listen to some tunes you might find funny. The title track and the opening track are my favourites. The latter's radio edit leaves much of the beauty of it out, due to length limitations. The cover of "Rainbow Blues" is also a good example of their rock side.
One of their best albums. Very nice, full of energy and power and not lacking in softer melodies either. I've seen a video of "In This River" dedicated to the late Dimebag Darell.
