Slash has shared a first look at his upcoming line of signature Epiphone Les Pauls, in an Instagram post made earlier today (13 January).

Judging by their finishes, the new Epiphone models could possibly mirror the Slash signature Gibson models that came out in 2020. Epiphone has not made an official announcement about the new series yet.

“Here they are in all their glory, the Epiphone Slash Signature Series due out this year,” Slash said in the post. “They play & sound killer. & look good too.”

Last January Gibson launched the Slash Collection Les Paul Standard Model in Appetite Burst and November Burst, as well as in a limited-edition Vermillion Burst and Anaconda Burst. The guitar titan also released a signature Les Paul Gold Top model dubbed Victoria in December.

The idea of the Slash’s new Epiphone guitars being based on their Gibson counterparts isn’t one that’s far-fetched. Last year, Epiphone also launched a plethora of new guitars – directly based on classic Gibson semi-hollows and acoustics – under the Inspired By Gibson series.

In other Slash news, Ernie Ball last week (5 January) released a limited-edition string set for the Guns N’ Roses legend. The strings come in a three-pack, housed in a collectable string tin.
