Strandberg debuts colourful Boden Metal axe for Sarah Longfield

Strandberg has debuted the Boden Metal Sarah Longfield Edition, a striking guitar for the rising shred artist. The instrument is available in six-, seven- and eight-string configurations.

All three configurations sport Longfield’s Black Doppler artwork finish, a design which the guitarist first tested out on her own custom Boden. Each model also features a chambered basswood body, maple top, roasted maple neck and 20-inch-radius ebony fretboard.

For electronics, Strandberg has gone with a pair of Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers: an Alnico type at the neck and a Ceramic type at the bridge. These are said to have punchy character and enough versatility to cover a wide range of styles and genres. The pups are wired to a master volume control – with push/pull coil-splitting – and a push/pull master tone control that boasts two voices.

The six-string version retails at $2,395, the seven-string at $2,449 and the eight-string at $2,495. More info at strandbergguitars.com.
