Kerry King has joined Dean’s artist roster, and will be releasing some signature models with the manufacturer. King had previously worked with BC Rich and ESP for his signature guitars.

The first model to be announced was the USA Kerry King V Limited Edition 50-piece guitar. Each guitar is signed by King himself and retails at $8,666. Dean Guitars has said that will release more information regarding King’s signature USA-made and import models over the coming months.

The Slayer guitarist said of the partnership in a statement: “I’m super stoked to be part of the Dean Guitars family. This has been an insane long time coming! Together we’re going to create some amazing guitars that Dean, Slayer, and Kerry King fans will be as excited as I am to play them. It’s gonna be a wild ride for years to come!”

Evan Rubinson, CEO of Dean Guitars, said: “We are thrilled to welcome one of the most iconic guitarists in the world to the Dean family. Our partnership with Kerry King couldn’t be a more perfect fit – a legendary metal guitar player and a legendary metal guitar company, collaborating to bring our fans something the world has never before seen.”

King has been a member of Slayer since its founding in 1981, and has played on such iconic metal albums as Reign in Blood and Seasons in the Abyss. Slayer are currently wrapping a US tour, and have in the works The Repentless Killology, a concert film paired with a short narrative film.
