I'll be honest, I hadn't really listened to or thought about playing blues before this most recent attempt at learning the guitar.
 
After looking up "blues guitar" on google, I was able to find some preliminary learning material. I tried it out and bought a few blues CD's and started listening to the blues channel on the Sirius we have at work.
 I started playing some basic chord progressions (I-IV-V) and working on the shuffle rythm. I'm starting to get my fingers to do what I want (I think mostly because the chord progression is very simple) and feel almost on beat with the shuffle rythm. (Oh, yeah. I didn't mention previously that I'm very rythm challenged.) I think I need to get myself a metronome.
 
I am loving it. The whole thing is intoxicating and addictive. We'll just have to see how long this lasts...
