 My music recommendations
I must admit at the outset that this album does not deliver what its title promises. Taylor is backed by a keyboard on most of the album, and sometimes by a choir or drum machine. That said, still a great listen for JT fans. Most of the classics you want to hear are there, plus some material from more recent albums like "New Moon Shine" and "October Road". The way Taylor interacts with the audience is interesting to listen to, and even more interesting to watch on the DVD. His voice sounds almost as good at 2007 as it did in 1977, and the guitar is spot-on. It's also about as long as you can get on one CD. Not quite the solo acoustic performance I was looking for, but a veritable gem for James Taylor fans.
