best "unplugged" album i've heard
The very first album released by s.o.a.d.
This is an awesome effort from the Derek Trucks Band. The first album featuring new-found singer Mike Mattison is a beautiful one. From inspirational songs like I Wish I Knew How (It Would Feel to be Free) to awe-inspiring guitar tracks like the wonderous, ethnic sounding Sahib Teri Badni/Maki Madni this album is killer. This release is a move in a new direction for the band who started as primarily instrumental. Derek Trucks is one of the greatest, most exciting musicians in music today, and this is a must-own.
Definitely one of my favorite albums. The music is amazing lyrically and the depth of composition is unparalleled. Sufjan plays a myriad of different instruments on this album (banjo, brass, guitar, keyboards, woodwinds, flutes, nothing is off-limits). Check it out...cause it's amazing.
