Brad Mehldau: Songs: The Art of the Trio, Vol. 3
Beautiful, beautiful music, from the original Mehldau trio at the height of their powers. This album is a great introduction to modern jazz, with more than enough depth for repeated listening.

Green Day: International Superhits!
This is a good compilation album. I bought it so I didn't have to buy the rest of the albums besides "Dookie". Haven't really gotten around to listening to it all, but my favorite song so far is "Brain Stew". I think that's as close to metal as Green Day will get.
