 My music recommendations
My favorite DT album of all time. I like this album the best out of all of their work to date. This album to me is the quintessential work that, in my mind, establishes what the band is about. It's chock full of good songwriting, melodic and heavy riffs, and tight progressive instrumental mastery. Dream Theater has never really lost that progressive edge, but this album just sticks out the most in my mind as some of their best work.
It's all about CFH, Cemetery Gates, Primal Concrete Sledge, The Sleep, and The art of Shredding. Phil used to be such a good singer back then.
This album came out on my birthday that year. It was kinda like "hey Pantera is giving me a new album for my birthday!!" Good album but I still like Vulgar Display better.
Back at it again. The new age harbingers of progressive metal bring yet another installment of their unique brand of Progressive-Heavy Riffage. The tracks I enjoyed the most are: Constant Motion, and Dark eternal night, and the opening sequence on the album for "In the Prescence of Enemies pt1". There is plenty of good stuff on this album.
