Its funny i was thinking about my future and stuff like that lately.......mainly because of adult figures who are always pressuring me to get my plans together so i can get to a good college and get a good job and all that bs.
When your younger you usually establish a favorite type of music. I remember the first time i heard AC/DC..... My friend and i were sneeking off in school skipping class to avoid my monotone teacher and thats when I was introduced to Back in Black. My life changed.
The next thing you must do after you idolize some monster of a rock band or a smooth bluesy shreading guitarist. Well you got to try and look like that baster! So on comes the long hair or the "on the edge" clothing. You want to be a rockstar.....doesnt everyone. But instead of admiring you dedication and creativity to become flashy or different what happens? yup your adult figures spite you for it. "look at him that punk" "why dont you cut that hair".......it never ends
Next you got to play like that guy on the stage in front of you so you pick up some second hand guitar and struggle through all those tabs and music books or just jammin along to some kick ass riff. But your dedication and drive takes you further. You get a Guitar teacher....hopefully a sick one like Greigh Gri Pearce! ahah. Now your learning and getting better. But nope your still shit in the eyes of your adults......"turn that amp down" "what do you mean that guitar playing is for credit" "you should worry about important things like being an doctor" 
All i got to say is Piss off! These dreams of being a face melting guitarist or in an arena on the big stage in front of millions of rock n roll thirsty fans or to be a sick teacher of kids with the same dream..........they're just like dreams of being a doctor or lawyer.....we're just different people. ACCEPT IT and if rockin out is what makes you happy and you work for it, then more power to you! Why shouldnt you strive to be a sick guitarist? Goals ...dreams ........If you believe in yourself and give it all you got. 
Well then the horns go up for you. Lifes too short, enjoy the damn "ride" dont let people make goals for you or beat down you dreams!
