Gibson Sonex 180 series guitars with 3 screw truss rod cover

Hey folks,
A few people had questioned me about my 1981 Sonex Deluxe having 3 screws on the truss rod cover indicating that it might be a fake/lawsuit model. The last question today prompted me to call Gibson's 24 hour customer service line.
I was told that it would have to be researched and would get a response via email. I had my response within 20 minutes stating that Gibson did use 3 screws on the truss rod covers on some of those models and that indeed my Gibson was in fact authentic.
I just wanted to pass along the fantastic customer service at Gibson! You can call them 24/7. They were polite, friendly, and extremely fast and on the ball!
