A pentatonic scale is a musical scale with five pitches per octave in contrast to an heptatonic (seven note) scale such as the major scale. Pentatonic scales are very common and are found in almost every form of modern music.

 The pentatonic scale is used widly among guitar players from many genres. Generally used for basic to intense solos, and riff writing. Its always a good thing to know a little bit about the pentatonic scale if you dont want to suck.

excellent guitar for general all-around use. It can handle the anything from the fastest shred to some nice and slow blues, to the most brutal breakdowns and everything else. If you're picky, the pick-ups suck as usual but who cares, buy some sweet emg's or whatever you like and throw those bad boys in there and your good to go. The trem system is really nice too. I try and keep fresh strings on at all times but even when i can't it stays in tune pretty good still.
