Basketball or guitar. I'll let you decide for me. Vote!!

Most people don't know, but on top of playing guitar, I also play basketball for my high school. Lately its been really tough finding the balance between playing guitar and playing basketball. It is my senior year and I am hoping to get a scholarship. But guitar, I dont think is going to do much for me.But I really want to play guitar. But I think that if i dont do my best in basketball then when im older ill regret playing guitar instead of basketball. I really need some advice with this because this is a very important time in my life. Please!! HELP ME!! Vote yes or no. Ill let you decide!

dude i have the exact same situation as you lol. but i cant dunk....
i'd say, go for b-ball, BUt keep guitar as a hobblie, coz its always good, no matter what you do in life to have a music talent

Play basketball! Get the scholarship! I was very good at basketball and wrestling but I decided that playing in a band and getting laid was better.(well it was fir a short while). Then I started drinking a lot and doing drugs and hanging out at the clubs I played at when I was not playing. I stayed too stoned to take it seriously and make a decent living and now I am too old and still playing in the same old clubs. The only time it is worth it is when I am on stage.

all i can say is i got accepted to the berklee college of music and decided to do somethig different, i make a lot of money, but i regret my decision every day. i would rather be poor and play gigs every week than do what i am doing right now... your choice man. dont listen to all of us though. choose for yourself. my experience is just that... MINE. your life could be very different.

Wait until you jam a finger the first time from taking a pass straight on the end of one of them. As you nurse your swollen, motionless finger back to its functional state, you can say "I should have played guitar." On a serious note, I did both. I got a football/academic scholarship to one school and a scholarship for music to another. I chose music. To each his own broseph, but might I recommend some deeper soul searching because regret is an ugly thing.

Leave guitar as a hobby. it sounds to me that you want b-ball to be your career, but that doesn't mean you should totaly drop guitar.

Right on. I think if you want to get a scholarship from ball, do that, and, like damarae said, play guitar in your free time. But the best thing to do is to look inside. What do you have the biggest passion for? if you have a passion for music, it's worth pursuing a musical education and possibly a career. But if you have a passion for sports, you need to focus on it. Just look deep down, and find your passion, and follow that. It'll lead you where you need to go.

dude practice for basketball and play guitar in your free time, you have all your life to play guitar, use your you5th for basketball, im a sophmore in high school, and i swim for my team, so i have to make sure i go to my practices then ill play my guitar for like 30 minutes minimum
