For as long as i can remember, i've wanted to learn to play the guitar.
I remember my Step-Father telling me, " If you buy the guitar, i'll pay for all the lessons you want". Well, how the hell was i going to purchase a guitar at 10 years old.
So here i am 28 years later,(you do the math), and i talked my wife into buying me a guitar for my birthday.
So the guitar came with an instructional DVD and chordsheet, my mother-in-law bought me a book ,"learn to play the guitar".
So here i am practicing a little bit everynight, and , man, does it sound horrible.
A buddy of mine, who is a decent guitar player, gave me an electric guitar tuner for my birthday, so i thought this would help. I still sound horrible...
I guess i'll keep on practicing , we'll see what happens.
