Attempting to play Dream Theater

I haven't really listened to Dream Theater that much but thought this would be cool to try anyways. So, here's my attempt at Overture 1928 from Metropolis Pt2: Scenes From A Memory. There are some difficult spots in this song and yes I know I didn't stay exactly on time, but oh well. Steady as she goes!
This song has many changes and follows mostly the lydian, mixolydian and aeolian modes and also has some weird stuff like the semi-tone scale at 1:05. I tried to do this note-to-note as much as I could and I think it went okay. Tell me what you think. For this one I used some ESP ltd that my friend gave me to fix through an YJM 308 overdrive and my Peavey Studio Pro amp.

I'll include the scale forms used in this song derived from the major scale.
Aeolian:   1  2   b3 4   5   b6 b7 1
Example: c# d# e   f# g# a   b   c#

Lydian:    1 2 3  #4 5 6  7  1
Example: d e f# g# a b c# d

Mixolydian: 1   2   3  4 5   6   b7 1
Example:    f# g# a# b c# d# e   f#

DOD YJM308 Yngwie J Malmsteen Signature Overdrive Pedal
Kind of cheesy, I know, but this pedal is actually very good. It doesn't give the "Yngwie" sound by itself, only when used in a similar setup. It's basically a closer match to the old gray DOD 250 overdrive. All in all it's a great pedal and works well with both tube and solid state amps.
 Price: $3.99
Dunlop Delrin Standard Guitar Pick 1.50MM 1 Dozen
Don't leave home without 'em. These picks are good for my style of playing and I can better control the force of each note with these 1.50mm picks. Good basic guitar picks.
