My audition

Well, I'm new here, so: Hello!
I just wanted to get this audition video thing going, so I came up with this very simple riff and just improvised over it. Apologies for the mistakes I left but I think I'll do something a bit more interesting and precise next time. The recording was made as follows: Epiphone Les Paul through a DOD YJM308 overdrive into my Peavey Studio Pro, then a cheap microphone into my laptop with n-Track Studio 4. The drums are, of course, embarrasing. (made with FLStudio 4 AND by me, so...)
If by any chance someone would like to see some of those things, the good ones not the terrible mistakes, slowed down, tell me which part and I'll maybe post a video and a transcription of it.
Please comment! I've only been playing for 5 years so any advice would be most helpful. Anyway, next time I think I'll use my Stratocaster and do something malmsteen-ish maybe. Enjoy the video.

DOD YJM308 Yngwie J Malmsteen Signature Overdrive Pedal
Kind of cheesy, I know, but this pedal is actually very good. It doesn't give the "Yngwie" sound by itself, only when used in a similar setup. It's basically a closer match to the old gray DOD 250 overdrive. All in all it's a great pedal and works well with both tube and solid state amps.

Epiphone Les Paul 1956 Goldtop Electric Guitar Gold Top
Bought this a while ago and I'm quite happy with it. Enough so to recommend it! It's got P90s in it which give it a nice classic sound. It also has the incredible looking gold top finish. This is a great sounding guitar and easy to play.
