Are Slash and Axl Making Up?
Slash and Axl are reportedly back on friendly terms. That’s nice. So does that mean they’ll get the original Guns n’ Roses back together? Don’t hold your breath.
In an interview with a Swedish interviewer for Aftonbladet this past week, Slash briefly answered a couple of questions about GnR, as well as the interviewer’s queries as to why Slash has visited Sweden three times in the past year.
About his reconciliation with Axl, Slash said: “It was probably way overdue, you know. But it’s, you know, it’s very cool at this point. You know, let some of that, sort of, negative … dispel some of that negative stuff that was going on for so long.”
Slash left Guns n’ Roses in 1996, and as recently as 2012 had told the press “Axl hates me.”
But maybe that’s just media-generated fodder, according to Slash: "We don't have all those issues anymore. There's not a lot of controversy. It's something that's more perpetuated by the media than anything."
