Daniel Bachman’s Psychedelic Appalachian Fingerpicking
Some refer to his playing as “Psychedelic Appalachia.” Or maybe that’s what he calls it, we’re not sure. But either way, 25-year-old Daniel Bachman lays down some pretty interesting sounds in the fingerstyle-acoustic genre in which he operates.
Despite his youth, Bachman has already recorded seven albums. His latest, River, was recorded and mixed at Pinebox Recording in Bachman’s home of Durham, NC. The album was influenced by Bachman’s love of nature, and specifically the Rappahannock River in his native Virginia.
Rolling Stone recently labeled Bachman one of “Ten New Artists You Need To Know.” Give him a listen, and you’ll see why.
