Free For All: Rock Band The Maine On Free 26-City Tour
It’s almost inconceivable that a band could afford to tour for free, but one band is giving away all the tickets to their entire 26-city North American tour.
The band is The Maine, out of Tempe, Arizona. The group have previously been featured on the Vans Warped tour, have toured internationally, and have released five albums. Their latest is American Candy, which came out March 31, 2015, and debuted at No. 37 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart.
As for giving away all the tickets for their fall tour, the band said “We are very excited to announce we are doing a 100 percent free tour, called the Free For All Tour.” The tour runs from August 30 to October 4 and includes dates in most major U.S. and Canadian markets. Some of the gigs will be at shopping malls and other non-traditional venues.
The band does ask that “if you do have a couple extra bucks, and you’d like to help us get some gas to get to the next show,” you can donate through a crowdfunding site (link below).
