Godin Guitars @ the 2011 Montreal Guitar Show

Godin Guitars showcasing new 5th Avenue Jazz model among others at hometown guitar show taking place from July 1st-3rd during the Montreal International Jazz Festival.

Montreal, Canada – June 29th, 2011- The 5th Edition of the Montreal Guitar Show takes place this weekend from July 1st to July 3rd at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Montreal in the heart of the Montreal International Jazz Fest activity. Launched in 2007 by Jazz Fest organizers, the MGS brings together the worlds greatest luthiers under one roof to exhibit their most prestigious and finest works. Godin Guitars will be on hand showcasing their new and finely crafted 5th Avenue Jazz archtop guitar, among others.

In the MGS’s electric guitar room, located in Salon Alfred-Rouleau, visitors can find and try out the elegant new Godin 5th Avenue Jazz with Godin’s smooth sounding floating Mini-humbucker Jazz pickup.  This elegant and upper echelon model features an arched back as well as arched top and comes in two all high-gloss custom polished finishes, including Piano Black HG and Natural Flame HG. Other features include ebony fingerboard, ebony volume and tone knobs, classic multi-layered binding, high-ratio open geared nickel tuners, engraved floating pickguard, custom tailpiece and adjustable Tusq bridge by Graphtech.

Other guitars on display include the amazing 11-string fretless MultiOud, as well as a sneak peek at the phenomenal Multiac Ambiance Steel string. Guitar enthusiasts will be able to see and test out these exquisite instruments, as well as speak with Robert Godin and head guitar designer Daniel Fiocco, who will both be on hand to explain the “ins & outs” of the these fine instruments.

A free “Guitar Workshop by Robert Godin” is also scheduled for Saturday July 2nd at 1PM at the Hyatt Regency in the Salon Argenteuil.  An event not to be missed!
