About Author Evan Hirschelman
Heralded by the Los Angeles Times for his “technical wizardry” and by the Malibu Times for his “soulful musicality,” guitarist Evan Hirschelman brings a fresh perspective and creative energy to his playing style. His own compositions reflect a fusion of musical influences, from classical to metal, and his work “Lament and Wake” is featured on the Grammy-winning recording LAGQ’s Guitar Heroes.
Hirschelman hails from Detroit, MI, and holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Arizona. In 2009, Circa Guitars released an Evan Hirschelman Signature Model steel-string acoustic guitar, one of the first steel-string guitars developed for classical players.
Hirschelman lives in Los Angeles, where he has taught as a faculty member at Musicians Institute (GIT) and Citrus College, in addition to running a thriving private studio.
